The warm homes local grant is a Uk Government funded scheme that helps eligible households in England make their homes warmer, more energy efficient and reduce fuel bills.
The main driver for this will be Solar panels (with a battery) with loft insulation.
This is not a “rent a roof” scheme, you own the panels outright. You get all the benefits of free electricity, this could save you £100’s a year.
With prices forever rising, make your application as soon as you can, as there is only a limited amount of funds set by.
Yes. It is 100% free. There is no charge for any part of the process or the materials etc.
Our fees are sourced through the scheme, so you won’t have to pay out to cover our costs during the process.
If you have solar panels with a battery, you could cut your bills by up to 50%. This depends on the amount of panels we can fit and how much electricity you use normally. The system will use the power from the panels first, if any left they go into the battery.
Then at night when the panels aren’t producing, you can use the power that is stored in the battery.
We understand that many of our clients will be eager to know exactly how long it takes for their new installation to be fully functional in their home, .
Specific schedules can vary a little depending on availability of staff and equipment in your region at a given time, but in general, it should be no more than 4-5 weeks from the first home survey through to completed installation.
